On The Edge

The peace of the town is shattered by an invasion of tourists, eager for a sighting of a rare bird, which was discovered nesting on Martin's aunt Joan's land.
Joan (Stephanie Cole) wants to keep the bird a secret to protect it from egg thieves, but Martin lets slip to a local baker and some villagers see it as an opportunity to make a bit of cash.

The village is torn apart, and Martin is caught in the crossfire from angry locals.

Having failed to restart his relationship with Louisa (Caroline Catz), Martin is forced out of the picture with the arrival of her dad, Terry (Kenneth Cranham) who has returned to the village after years away; he left under a cloud after some charity money went "missing".
